I've been dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and depression for over 10 years, thanks to childhood and generational trauma. During this time, I've tried different therapies (EMDR, CBT, DBT) and lots of medications (SSRIs, NDRI, mood stabilizers, benzodiazepines, stimulants) without much success. Things got so bad that I ended up in a mental hospital last year due to suicidal thoughts. Unfortunately, that stay was more traumatizing than helpful (Stay away from Glenwood Behavioral) After that, I knew I needed something different. There are some hoops to jump through for insurance and they will help you through the process as much as the program allows. It is tightly controlled program so it’s a bit of a process but it’s highly worth it. Spravato has made a huge difference in my life. The esketamine sessions have helped me feel emotions like forgiveness and given me deep insights into unity, love, and oneness. These experiences have been crucial in my healing. If you're considering this treatment, I highly recommend Spravato at Encounter Wellness. Some things that helped me get the most out of my sessions: wearing an eye mask, using headphones with Spotify playlists, and journaling right after. Overall, my experience with Spravato and the team at Encounter Wellness has been incredibly positive. Their care and the effectiveness of the treatment have made a real impact on my mental health journey! I cannot thank the staff here enough.
